Summer To Winter Beauty Swaps
When the seasons change I like to clear out my makeup and make some changes for the upcoming season.
These are the changes I've made for the transition from summer to winter.
Bye bye creams
While I have a deep love for my Glossier Haloscope and my new Marc Jacobs Dew Drops it was time to swap them out for some powder highlighters. I always have my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow in my makeup bag anyway, but I’ve also added in my Becca Champagne Collection. I hardly ever use my Becca palette, but the formulas are so beautiful and as the palette has highlighters and blushes in it, it makes it very versatile. I’ve also swapped out my Glossier Cloud Paint, and because I added in the Becca palette, took out my Nars Orgasm blush as well.
Sometimes I like to forgo foundation in the winter, just because my skin can go a little dry and weird in some patches, so it’s just better to leave the skin alone and conceal where I need it. So I’ve added in my Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer, which I like to use everywhere except my chin, which is where my skin can get a bit dry so it doesn’t gel well with my skin.
I’ve added the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette which in the winter months I do reach for. I love these shadows, the moodiness and edge they add to any look make them my favourite shadows to use in the cooler months. This swap has meant that my Marc Jacobs palette has been taken out. I always have Mac Woodwinked in my makeup bag, as it's my go-to when I'm in a rush or when I'm feeling lazy.
For a bit of warmth
Taking out my Filmstar Bronze and Glow meant my usual bronzer was out, so I put in the Soap and Glory Solar Powder which I’ve had for ages, but never used, so I’m excited to have a brand new product to play with this season.
And those are the changes or things I have added to my makeup bag for the cooler months.
