After we left Venice we took a short British Airways flight to Gatwick to spend four days in London.
In the end we probably could have done with a few more days in London, as we were a bit ambitious with what we could get done in four days.
On our first full day we got on the Golden Tours Hop On Hop Off bus, which in hindsight wasn’t the best idea, because it took us 2 and a half hours to get across London to the Tower, so by the time we got there it was almost lunchtime, and we’d pretty much lost half our day.
But we spent a few hours walking around the tower, then got back on the bus and headed to Parliament Square to go to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Then another short bus ride to Oxford Street to do a little bit of shopping (Liberty & Selfridges).
The next day we went to Windsor. We decided we wanted to see the changing of the guard at Windsor instead of trying to see it at Buckingham Palace. So we spent the morning at Windsor Castle wandering around. Then we headed back to London, and ended up going to Harrods and Buckingham Palace.
For our final full day, we went to what was probably the most exciting place we went to, the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour. Which was amazing! The amount of work that went into those films is incredible. There are the actual sets and props that were used during filming there in the studio tour.
