Hi there.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, this is where I document my adventures in studying, travel, beauty, food and maybe a little bit of style. Happy reading.

Decorating our Christmas Tree

Decorating our Christmas Tree

Decorating the Christmas tree is always one of my favourite things to do. The tree goes up on the first, we decorate it and then enjoy the beauty for the whole month of December.

Our tree has always been red and gold. Always. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I see other colour combinations that are possible, but every year, when we put our tree up, the red and gold to me just looks the best.

We’ve had the same tree since I was a child, I think the last time we had a real tree I was maybe 6 or 7. But the tree Mum purchased is amazing, it goes all the way to the ceiling and is so gorgeous, even though every year I yearn for a real tree, the one we have is amazing.

Along with the tree, we’ve had most of the same baubles since I was a child as well. Although recently we’ve added more baubles to the base baubles we have on our tree, the red and gold ones, just so those colours fill up more of the tree.

We’ve also taken up buying a novelty Christmas tree decoration in new countries we visit, and if we don’t go anywhere, then we buy a new novelty bauble here at home. This year we bought the Farmers Hospice bauble, we also bought these adorable Santa baubles. But as we travelled and mum did some travel for work, we ended up with more novelty baubles. We picked up this amazing sunset in Venice glass bauble, while we were in Venice. My mum also picked up some more decorations while she was in Canada and Alaska.

We also have our sentimental baubles, my Grandad had these little bears personalised with my sister and I’s names on them, years ago. We also have been gifted some baubles as Christmas presents over the years including this angel and glittery baubles.
