Getting Cosy At Christmas Even In Summer
Getting cosy at Christmas can be hard when you live in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's sweltering hot.
To make Christmas feel more cosy, I have a few motions that I like going through to get all Christmassy.
It’s no secret I love hot chocolate, even in the summer, on hot, balmy evenings I will still have hot chocolate, and if it’s December then it comes with a side of Christmas in my Santa mug.
Christmas movies will always make you feel cosy. Chill out on the couch watching a movie, maybe with a nice refreshing gin and tonic and you’re good to go. Love Actually, The Santa Clause movies and The Holiday are films we love to watch at Christmas.
This year I picked up this reindeer dressing gown from ASOS, which I think is my favourite Christmassy thing I have bought this year, this and my reindeer ears headband from Lovisa.
Scent is really important when it comes to getting cosy. We have loads of candles dotted all over our house, though we tend to lean toward more fresher scents, citrus scents, we also have a Jo Malone Green Tomato Leaf candle, which is one of our favourite candles. If I want something warmer but still fresh, then I would go for Ecoya’s Fresh Pine scent, that they first bought out last year at Christmas, but is out again this year. Or I would light up my wax burner, and put a french vanilla wax melt in there.
What is your favourite way to get cosy for Christmas?
